Who We Are
A small firm built for small business.
Our story
Roitor CPA Professional Corporation was founded by Varun Gugliya, CPA — a Chartered Professional Accountant who built the firm to do one thing well: serve small business owners who deserve CPA-level work without the big-firm overhead, the partner-juggling, or the junior-staff handoff.
Before opening Roitor, Varun spent 15+ years inside multinational organizations — from a Big Four audit foundation through senior finance roles at global consumer goods, real estate, and beverage companies. He opened the firm to bring that same FP&A-grade rigour and CPA discipline to the GTA small business owners who rarely get access to it.
We started in Brampton, in the heart of the GTA, and we’ve stayed close to our roots. Most of our clients are small and growing — sole proprietors, professional corporations, real estate investors, trades, and service businesses across the GTA and increasingly across Canada virtually.
Why we’re called Roitor
The firm name isn’t a coincidence or a play on a Latin word. ROITOR is an acronym — six values, in order: Responsibility, Objectivity, Integrity, Trust, Oversight, Reliability. Each letter is a standard the firm holds itself to on every file.
We built the firm this way because we believe the values should come first and the brand should answer to them — not the other way around. When a client signs on, the name they see on the engagement letter is the same set of commitments we’re measuring ourselves against. See the full Our Values page for what each one means in practice.
What we believe
Small Business Clients Deserve Big-Firm Quality
Small business clients deserve the same standard of work as Bay Street clients - just priced and packaged for the business they actually run
Beyond Tax Returns and Financial Statements
Year-end statements and tax returns are the floor, not the ceiling. The real value shows up when we sit down and read the numbers with you.
Clear Advice in Plain English
Plain English wins. If we can't explain why we're doing something, we shouldn't be doing it
CPA Expertise You Can Trust
A CPA designation is not decoration. It comes with continuing education, professional standards, and accountability to CPA Ontario. Your accountant should have one.
